about

"Hair in a G-String" could be labelled Prog before there was Prog. Split this into the written piece "Hair in a G-String" (about 46 minutes) & "Songs not in G" (About 36 minutes) and you'd have a prog album and a melodic rock album I guess. We didn't do that. We mixed it up. See it as musical interludes between the main action.

Track Name: Hair in a G-String part 1 (The opening)
It's time to start the show
Sit down, relax, throw off some clothes
And when you're ready, let us know
And we will begin

Now, for this evening
We can reveal, what you all came here to see
Shhh
Close your eyes. No, don't turn away
Come in close, very close, come and see

I know, what you think, you all know
I'm all yours now
That is why you paid
Are you feeling me?
I feel, you are feeling how I feel

Welcome
To the show
Where we show
What we all show

Now just relax and let your mind enjoy that feeling
Do you feel what I feel?
Track Name: Can't See it Any Other Way
There is something we all should do
Something we can win, that's not been won
Love is all we want
Can't be any other way

Without love, we'd be nothing
Hearts beat cold and cruel to one another
Love is all we want
Can't be any other way

Let's ask before it's blown
Let's grow before it's grown
Teach the young ones now
Before it gets too late
Before it gets too late
Love is all we want
Can't be any other way
Love is all we want
Can't be any other way

We want it now
No matter the price
Risking it all if it saves our life
Love is all we want
Can't see any other way

Let's ask before it's blown
Let's grow before it's grown
Teach the young ones now
Before it gets too late
A little give and take
Love is all we want
Can't be any other way

Can't be any other way
No no no no
No more mistakes
My my
Can't be any other way

Break free from our shell
An intuition
One day soon we'll be granted
Our wishes, our wishes
Oh give me give any other way
No no
No no
Love is all we need
Love is all we want
Love love love love love
Track Name: And so, Today
And so, today
Heard the news
Did you hear what they say?
The knight on the hill is sleeping
Sleep well dear friend
Your music is here to stay
The magic still fills my ears

So, as we bid farewell again
Sir Raymond from the Abbey, rode away

Heard the news
Did you hear?
Did you hear what they say?
I'm flying, we're flying
9641 Sunset in my mind
The news is sad and the heat is on

So, as we bid farewell again
And it seems, you can leave after all

Heard the news
Lemmy say
I don't wanna hear the news today
The deck is stacked so heavy, it's a crime
The pit boss, took the Ace away.
Rest well friend

So today
Heard the news
Did you hear what they've been saying?
It's all too sad, so very sad
They say he's gone
Mr Jones
They say he's gone
Mr Jones

He took us far, beyond the stars
Mr Jones
And so we say, farewell dear friends
Too many friends
Our wild eye'd boy, is stardust
Mr Jones
Track Name: Hair in a G-String part 3 (I'm Going Down)
Oh! What does it mean?
It's not what we thought. Apparently.
A recent inquiry
Succinctly made the case
It's all down, down, down, down
Down, down, down, down
Wait! What am I saying?
Everything's fine, fine, fine
What might be true
Is a view
A Brazilian
Is better than doing nothing at all.
Do you follow me?
I know traffic's bad today
Let's go down, down, down, down
Been there before but it's still just as good
Hair up my nose, that just shouldn't happen
It's a jungle out there
Yes. Let's just say, I'm going down, down, down, down
Damn it! This is good
Blimey! Touching wood

Where do you go, I suppose you don't know
I don't know, I don't know, we don't know, we don't know.
Suppose that I say, you're not leaving today
Just stay where you are and play that guitar.

Now you feel good, as I knew that you would
I feel so, I feel so, I feel so good
Put it together and what do you get?
Goodety goodety good.
Good!

Now you've come up for air
With such poise, style and flair
And that music, do I hear music?
Mais oui! Cette mélodie
I decide, this is real.
Then I look down and see
Perfection, connection, peace.
Now we must get a hurry on
Cos things are gunna change
Can't say when, don't know how
The result of a recent inquiry,
Says it's down, down, down, down.

You tell yourself, we all tell ourselves.
With some trimming and shaping, everything will be fine
We may be right. you can't disagree
but when all is said and done
Prog is annoying
It makes no sense. Devoid of a plan
But that's how life is and long may it be.
Just on a whim, I think I'll give this a trim
And oobaladibaladoobaladi.
I'm goin' down, down, down, down, down.
Track Name: A Beautiful Feeling
I got all that I can have
All that I want, is you
There ain't no one in this world
That will ever do
Look out my window
I can't take my eyes off of you
Home here from work
The most beautiful girl
That I ever knew

And when I'm dreaming of you
And your voice inside my head
It's a beautiful feeling
I don't want it to come to an end
When I'm dreaming of you
Sleep on clouds, dream in the sky
A beautiful world, every time I see your face

You're my angel, my love
Your magical kisses and hugs
My perfect dream, on a crescent moon
What more could I ask of
I've been floating and floating
And floating on a cloud
For so long
Oh, I don't wanna come down
I just love that sound
Your heart is beating around

When I'm dreaming of you
Hear your voice inside my head
It's a beautiful feeling
I don't want it to come to an end
When I'm dreaming of you
Sleep on clouds, dream in the sky
Beautiful world, every time I see your face

Your stencilled in stars surround your beautiful face
The purple sky takes me to a new high
I'm happy and ped by your ageless grace

When I'm dreaming of you
Hear your voice inside my head
It's a beautiful feeling
Don't ever want it to come to an end
When I'm dreaming of you
Sleepin' in clouds, dreamin' in the sky
Beautiful world, every time I see your face
Track Name: Part 4b
Phil and me
Have arrived at the end
Haven't we.
Yes we have
But we can't call this Part 4b!
Oh this is worrying me!
-----------------------------
Pete and me
Have just run out of time
They know Phil
I just said that
But we can't call this Part 4b!
I don't know what to say.
Part 4a, in a way
Sounds worse!
How we gunna hit real bigtime
I haven't got a clue!
I really don't have any ideas.
Here we are
Rising stars
We don't know much
But we do know
We can't call this song Part 4b!
In a way
In a funny kind of way
This band we're in
Is the problem here
Oh you're right!
I've been thinking that all day long
Where did those violins come from?
I didn't even know we had a violinist!
I think we are supposed to be singing
La la, La la la, La la

So here we have
A deep meaningful song
that makes no sense
Never you mind
Everyone deserves an explanation, even if in fact it doesn't actually mean a damn thing!
Make it convincing!
Part 4b
Part 4b
Now I gotta say "Wow" Peter
That really was intense

Intense intense intense intense
--------------------------------------
You Ok Pete?
Don't choke on the potato eh?

Can we get a cloth in here?
-----------------------------
Pina Colada?
Don't mind if I do old chap!
Is it true you say tomato?
No. We say Potato
Now it's time to close out the show
And impress the fans
I know. I know!
We can do it, we can do it, we can do it, we can do it
So now you see, Part 4b sung in G
Is amazing!
Part 4b sung in G
Uh.. I think it's in D actually
